ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Another popular event is Panoply's annual Photography Competition, from which some of the most beautiful representations of the excitement and beauty that is Panoply have been derived.
Pictures may be taken throughout the Panoply weekend: Friday, April 23, 2010 (5:00 – 9:00 p.m.); Saturday, April 24 (10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.); and Sunday, April 25 (Noon – 8:00 p.m.). Participants must purchase a Panopass ($5.00 per day/$10.00 for the full weekend), which serves as their registration fee.
A purple wristband will be given to photographers allowing them access to the stages for close-ups of performers. Photographers must log in upon arrival and log out at departure at the Information Booth; here, they will receive their packages.
A Release Form is provided to photographers for their subjects' signatures. It states the following:
By signing this form, I hereby give permission for images captured with photo or digital camera during the Panoply Arts Festival 2010 to be used solely for the purposes of The Arts Council of Huntsville, Alabama (i.e. promotional material and publications), and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.

Photos must be of the Panoply Arts Festival

Photographers may be professional or amateur

Application and entries must be submitted no later than Friday, May 14, 2010

Choose up to 5 entries to be considered in the contest

Photos must be submitted as follows:
Saved on a CD as high-resolution photos (300 dpi or greater).
Name, phone number, and title of piece are required on the back of each CD!
Entries will be judged by Panoply volunteers, with winners announced in June. The “Best in Show” will receive recognition, and all winners will receive photo credits for works reproduced for The Arts Council’s advertising purposes in the coming year.
